Valmike was nominated Best Actor at both London’s Unrestricted View Film Festival 2017 and at New Renaissance Film Festival London 2017.
‘Valmike Rampersad portrays Matt brilliantly…..we are drawn to the emotional side of Matt, which puts the audience into the shoes of the character…this makes us feel uncomfortable in the right way….’ – 2eyes1screen
‘Rampersad excels here as Matt…..His perpetual, seemingly unending state of internal and external disruption is palpable, and well played with poise and emotional gravitas by Rampersad.’ – onefilmfan.com
‘Rampersad’s performance is of course vital to the film and he does not disappoint, he gains your sympathy instantly and reflects his pain in every way possible from the way he speaks, to body language to the way he walks’ – FilmCarnage.com 9/10
‘ A truly powerful piece of film. Beautifully shot, perfectly timed, leaving me breathless’ – Survivors Manchester
‘First class – not only in the truths around isolation, manipulation and violence but that men can also get out and escape’ – The Mankind Inititiative
